It’s time to imagine a regenerative future for Aotearoa New Zealand.

Discover the many ways human biology and planetary health are connected—and how we can build a healthy future for all.

On Sunday 12 November, for the first time, internationally recognized educator and physician, Zach Bush MD, will be on New Zealand soil

His visit marks the arrival of Farmer’s Footprint to New Zealand, a non-profit organisation he founded in the US which unites farmers, growers, eaters and citizens around the world through stories of regeneration.

A global community with a local footprint in the USA, UK, Australia and now New Zealand, Farmer’s Footprint is on a mission to accelerate regenerative food systems as a means to restore human and planetary health.

This special evening will be held in the beautiful ASB Waterfront Theatre Auditorium.

We are honoured to welcome:

Zach Bush MD: Founder of Farmer’s Footprint; a physician specializing in internal medicine, endocrinology and hospice care; and internationally recognized educator and thought leader on the microbiome as it relates to health, disease, and food systems.

Nicole Masters: Internationally renowned agroecologist and author of ‘For The Love of Soil’ - a Kiwi living and ranching in Montana, USA

Tré Cates: Founder of nRhythm, working with multiple organisations around the world to apply regenerative design and leadership, to realise the potential that is inherent in our land and people.

Dr Hugh Jellie: CEO and Founder of Ata Regenerative, who brings more than a decade of local experience in regenerative food & farming systems, and is bringing Farmer’s Footprint New Zealand to life.

Te Rangikaheke Kiripatea: Kaumātua behind Rotorua’s kūmara revitalisation and Kai Rotorua, a volunteer-run organisation on a mission to reconnect us to Papatuānuku through Kai and to build a resilient, well nourished, and connected community.

About the organiser

Āta Regenerative is an organisation which has been reconnecting people and producers with their land here in Aotearoa for the past decade. Āta's mission is to change the paradigm in farming to one based on living systems to bring greater health to farming economy, communities, people and planet through adoption of regenerative farming practices.

Through multiple agriculture projects we have been able to demonstrate in practice how the development of healthy soils can positively impact farm enterprises allowing them to become more sustainable and profitable.

Consumers are more aware than ever about the quality, the health of animals and the farming practices used to produce their food. And many are no longer comfortable with the industrial, commoditised approach of big business food production. Our approach is the antithesis of these damaging and extractive practices.

CEO, Dr Hugh Jellie has been working in this space for 20 years to bring greater sustainability and resilience to farmers and their communities.
