Brothers Michael and Simon meet for the first time in years at their family bach in the Coromandel, scene of countless precious childhood memories. They arrive to discover that in their absence the regional council has built a public toilet right next door! As the evening wears on and the wine flows, disappointments and infidelities come bubbling to the surface, and the public dunny becomes a symbol of all that is wrong with their world.

Stephen Sinclair's The Bach is 'full of hilarious observations about disintegrating marriages, racism, political correctness and the drinking habits of the Kiwi male!' NZ Listener.
